How Were Veterans & Service Members Exposed to Asbestos?

It was very common for a service members to be exposed to asbestos in the different branches of the military, one we see commonly is with the navy and sailors who served aboard ship and these service members are exposed to asbestos when they work in engine rooms or machinery rooms around equipment that contains asbestos or at various other parts of the ship where insulation was used on piping and equipment or there may be gaskets or other types of material that were used that contain asbestos.
