Oslund Udo Little Secures Appeal Victory Over Alaska Law Restricting Asbestos Victims’ Compensation Claims

One thing that I really like about the work that we do here is that we keep in mind the best outcome for individual clients but also how our work for individual clients will affect future victims of asbestos exposure. And we do this through our trial work and also through our appellate work. Recently we won an appeal on a fairly niche issue of Alaska law which barred victims of asbestos exposure from recovering generally, essentially preventing them from getting justice. And we fought this issue and won. And already this has had an impact on three of our cases and hopefully it will have an impact on future victims of asbestos exposure. It is important to me to keep in mind the broader impact of our work and we try and fight for our individual clients and also for good laws in Washington for plaintiffs across the state.
