Can I File a Lawsuit if the Company Behind My Asbestos Exposure No Longer Exists?
Video Transcript
If the business has dissolved completely and there’s no assets or insurance available, there may not be a claim. However, if the company has filed for bankruptcy and a trust has been set up, if there has been a merger or acquisition where there may be a successor to that company, or even where there is historic insurance coverage and the company no longer operates, there may still be claims that can be pursued for someone who’s been diagnosed with an asbestos related disease. If you have questions about whether you may still have an asbestos-related claim against a company that no longer is in existence, please give us a call at Oslund Udo Little and our attorneys would be happy to provide a free consultation and let you know about your legal options.
