How to Prove Asbestos Exposure: The Evidence That Counts
Video Transcript
Generally when someone has been diagnosed with mesothelioma, it means that they were likely exposed to asbestos at some point in their past. And sometimes that source is easy to identify and sometimes it takes much more investigation. Generally, we need to prove a link between the company that either made the asbestos or installed the asbestos or perhaps made equipment that the asbestos was used with and an individual’s exposure. In Washington and Oregon, the exposure doesn’t have to be the only source of somebody’s disease. It just needs to have substantially contributed. And so we often find and are able to identify numerous defendants that played a role in causing somebody’s disease. And if they’re still around, meaning they have not filed for bankruptcy, those are defendants that we can potentially name in a lawsuit. If you’ve been diagnosed with an asbestos-related disease in Washington or Oregon and have questions about the legal process or the claims that may be available to you and your family, give us a call at Oslund Udo Little and we can arrange for a free consultation so a lawyer can discuss your legal options with you and your family.
