Meet Erica Bergmann
Video Transcript
My name is Erica Bergmann. I’ve lived in Washington my whole life. I went to school here, graduated from Seattle University School of Law in 2016. I spent a couple of years working in the Court of Appeals as a clerk and then in 2018 I started working at this firm and I’ve been here ever since. What’s important to me is to represent people rather than businesses or corporations and it’s been a privilege to get to know various clients over these past many years. I have met people that I’m going to remember my whole life. Working with our clients is moving to me because we meet them in a really difficult part of their life and they’re doing something they’ve never done before. I find it really rewarding. It’s a privilege really to walk them through something that I have experience with and get to guide them through the pre-litigation process, through their depositions, through filing a lawsuit, through potentially going to trial, and then even what happens after, and laying out a picture for them about what it even looks like to file a lawsuit. It’s something that hopefully they’ve never done before and will never have to do again. And I think that people are also really surprised to find that I don’t want to just know about their injury and their asbestos exposure. We get to know people, really understand the story of their life and then be able to tell that to a jury, to a judge.
