Proving Service-Connected Asbestos Exposure: Evidence Needed for Your VA Claim
Video Transcript
We gather numerous sources of evidence for veterans who may have been exposed to asbestos during their service. We first talk to the individuals who worked and served in the military to talk about their service rating, what they did in the military, what types of ships they may have worked on, and what types of materials they would have worked around. That’s the starting point. We can also go and obtain military records. There are records that are in our files currently or records that we can easily obtain that demonstrate what ships, if someone was in the Navy for example, had asbestos and what types of products were on the ships themselves. And we put together the information about what the individual did when they served and the exposures they may have had. And we combine it with historic records from service that help us build a case to establish that the person was exposed to particular products or defendants so we can pursue those defendants for them. If you have served in the military and are a veteran that has been exposed to asbestos and have an asbestos related disease, Oslund Udo Little can assist you with bringing a claim to seek compensation for your injury.
